Day 01: Udaipur
We shall enjoy a warm Indian reception on our arrival at the
Udaipur airport where the tour guide will meet and assist
us to check in at a hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 02: Udaipur-Ranakpur-Udaipur
On the second day, the Royal Rajasthan Tour itinerary includes
a day excursion to the temples of Ranakpur. Ranakpur is tucked
away in a remote valley in the Aravali range. It is situated
around 60 km north of Udaipur in Pali district and boasts
of one of the largest and most important Jain Temples in the
country. It is one of the five most important pilgrimage sites
of Jainism. It is home to an exceptionally beautiful temple
complex in the Aravali ranges and a must visit for the tourists
coming to this region.
Later in the evening we shall drive back to the hotel in Udaipur
for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03: Mount Abu
The Royal Rajasthan Tour itinerary will take us to Mount Abu
- the only hill station in royal Rajasthan. Mount Abu, the
only hill resort of Rajasthan, is located at a distance of
about 185 km from Udaipur and 500 km form Jaipur. Situated
at a height of 1,220 m above sea level in the Aravali hills,
Mount Abu is bounded by abundant vegetation and a striking
lake named as Lake Nakki. The place is not only famous for
its enormous natural beauty but also for its importance as
a pilgrimage center for Jain and Hindus. We shall check in
at a hotel on our arrival for an overnight stay.
Day 04: Mount Abu
We shall see the attractions of Mount Abu with the Royal Rajasthan
Tour package. The most famous temples and shrines here include
Dilwara Jain Temples, Gaumukh Temple, Adhar Devi Temple, and
Shri Raghunathji Temple. Then we shall enjoy a boat cruise
on the Nakki Lake that apparently was carved out by Gods with
their nails. We shall have an overnight stay in Mount Abu.
Day 05: Jodhpur
After breakfast we shall drive to Jodhpur, the royal city
engulfed in tales of Rajput gallantry. We shall check in at
a hotel on arrival for an overnight stay. We shall be left
free to spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 06: Jodhpur
We shall enjoy an exciting heritage sightseeing tour of Jodhpur.
We shall begin with a tour of Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant
Thada. Rao Jodha constructed the Mehrangarh Fort in 1459 AD.
There are seven gateways to approach the fort. Rao Jodha and
his successors built some palaces within the fort from 1456
AD onwards. These palaces are Moti Mahal, Chandan Mahal and
Sheesh Mahal. Phool Mahal or Palace of Flowers was built as
a hall of private audience. The decoration within this palace
displays the ornamentation style of the 18th century AD. The
Jaswant Thada, located half way up the interminably long road
that climbs onwards to the fort, is the traditional cremation
ground of the rulers of Jodhpur. Taking pride of place amongst
the ornamental gardens and chattris is the fabulous white
marble memorial to Jaswant Singh II, built in 1899. Later
in the day we can explore the local markets and the lesser-known
attractions of Jodhpur.
Day 07: Jaisalmer
The Royal Rajasthan Tour includes a travel to Jaisalmer, a
magnificent city that stirs in the heart of the Thar Desert.
We shall check in at a hotel with assistance from the tour
representative and spend the rest of the day enjoying the
rustic glory of this medieval Rajput mainstay.
Day 08: Jaisalmer
We shall undertake a tour of the Jaisalmer Fort, Salim Singh
ki Haveli, Nathmalji ki Haveli and other Jaisalmer attractions.
Then we shall ride a camel and camp on sand dunes on the outskirts
of Jaisalmer. Later in the evening we shall drive back to
the hotel in Jaisalmer city for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 09: Bikaner
After breakfast the Royal Rajasthan Tour will undertake a
travel tour to Bikaner that is known for breeding the fastest
riding camels in Asia. We shall check in at the hotel on arrival
and stay overnight in Bikaner.
Day 10: Bikaner
We shall undertake a tour of the Junagarh Fort and set out
on an excursion to the Karni Mata Temple at Deshnoke. Raja
Rai Singh, one of the Akbar's distinguished generals built
the 986 m long Junagadh Fort in Bikaner between 1588 and 1593
AD. Built by pink sandstone, the fort has 37 pavilions, massive
columns, arches, screens and minarets. The carving and paintings
on the fort is noteworthy and attracts a lot of tourists.
Karni Mata Temple, 30 miles south of Bikaner in Deshnoke,
is one of the strangest holy spots in India. Later in the
day the Royal Rajasthan Tour guide arranges for you to be
driven back to the hotel in Bikaner for an overnight stay.
Day 11: Nawalgarh
The Royal Rajasthan Tour Itinerary includes a drive to Nawalgarh
that is an important part of the Shekhawati region in Rajasthan.
It is a region that is globally famous as "the open-air
art gallery" of India. We shall stay at a heritage hotel
and experience the magic that is Rajasthan.
Day 12: Pushkar
We shall tour the openhandedly frescoed havelis of Nawalgarh
and drive to Pushkar later in the afternoon. The architectural
heritage of Pushkar is exceptional. The temples built and
rebuilt over centuries offer a look at the different styles
of various years. The city of Pushkar has over 400 temples
in its limits. The only temple in the world of Brahma- the
creator of the universe is here. We shall check in at a hotel
on arrival for an overnight stay.
Day 13: Jaipur
We shall travel around the attractions of Pushkar. We would
plan to see the Pushkar Lakes and Ghats, Tour the Brahma Temple
and Savitri Temple before driving off to Jaipur - the capital
of Rajasthan, India. The Royal Rajasthan Tour guide will arrange
for the check in at a hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 14: Jaipur
We shall visit the forts and monuments of Jaipur. We shall
see Amber Fort, tour Jaigarh and Nahargarh Forts and explore
the interiors of the City Palace Complex. We shall also visit
the Jantar Mantar before setting off on a generous shopping
extravaganza to the markets of Jaipur. We shall have an overnight
stay at the hotel in Jaipur.
Day 15: Agra
We shall drive to Agra and enjoy the attractions of Fathepur
Sikri and Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary en route. We shall check
in at a hotel on arrival in Agra for an overnight stay.
Day 16: Agra
We shall walk around the magical Taj Mahal that owes its existence
to a promise made by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan to his dying
queen Mumtaz Mahal.
